Pilates continues to be one of the fastest-growing formats in the fitness industry and for good reason. Students are seeking workouts that build strength, improve mobility, enhance body awareness and support long-term movement health. GoYoga's Mat Pilates is a mindfulness-based format that combine core-focused strength, controlled movement, stability training and functional mobility to create an energizing, effective class that complements yoga, barre and strength training.
This program provides the foundation to confidently teach a dynamic Mat Pilates class, understand the principles that make Pilates so effective and create engaging experiences that keep students coming back for more.
Training will cover:Ā
- Pilates history, principles and methodology
- Core engagement, breathwork and mind-body connection
- Traditional Pilates vs. modern Pilates
- Mat Pilates vs. Barre and Yoga with Weights
- Class structure, sequencing and programming
- Layering movements, pulse work, holds and combo exercises
- Coaching language, cueing and instructor presence
- Music selection and class energy
- Teaching with props including bands, sliders, rings, balls, block, and light weights
- Resources for ongoing learning and class inspiration
Includes a manual and mat pilates exercise library you can refer back to for continued learning and inspiration.
